Air Deccan also has Airbus A-320 - 180 seater aircraft. These new generation fly-by-wire aircraft, with plush leather seats and drop down televisions have brought about low-fare inter-metro connectivity, bringing various destinations on the airline’s air map. These aircraft provide in-flight entertainment for the passengers – a first for any domestic airline in India.

The airline has recently acquired ATR 72 – 500 aircraft. These are 72 seater aircraft with superior engine power and improved interiors for a very comfortable flying experience. The aircraft is very reliable with highly improved productability.

Air Deccan has adopted a 'lean-and-mean' approach to staffing and aims at maintaining a low aircraft-to-employee ratio. We have some of the most experienced administrators, aircrew and engineers on our rolls. A good work culture coupled with a skilled workforce is the backbone of the company.

Keira Knightley Juggles Two Films Keira Knightley is at the center of a tug of love over how she spends her two free months between finishing Silk in May and returning to Pirates of the Caribbean 3 in August, reports Variety.

In the red corner there's her champion Joe Wright, who directed her to an Oscar nomination for Pride & Prejudice. She's agreed to star in his next movie, Atonement, based on Ian McEwan's novel, which Working Title is planning to shoot this summer.

But in the blue corner there's her mother, playwright Sharman Macdonald, whose screenplay The Best Time of Our Lives also is aiming for a June start. Knightley has been attached since the project's inception four years ago.

Neither movie is yet greenlit, and both sets of producers are pushing to get all their elements in place. Mike Radford is set to direct The Best Time of Our Lives, but he's starting another movie, Flawless, on March 27, so it will take a feat of scheduling for him to do both.

"Best Time of Our Lives" is based on the true story of the complex relationship between Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, his wife, Caitlin, his childhood friend Vera Phillips and her eventual husband, William Killick. Knightley is down to play Vera.

"She acknowledges she has made a great deal of money. However, she is trying to show Kevin that he needs to be responsible and curb his out-of-control spending habits."

Spears to hospital after needle scare
Thursday, March 16 2006

Britney Spears is said to be doing well after being taken to hospital for standing on a hypodermic needle.

The pop singer – currently on holiday in Hawaii – trod on the needle as she stepped out of her car barefoot. She was taken to Hawaii State Hospital where tests showed she was not infected.

"Britney is going to be fine," a source told the Daily Star. "She's got a nasty cut but it's been disinfected and dressed and she's been released from hospital. It was more the shock of seeing the needle poking out of her foot - as you can imagine.

"All sorts of things race through your mind in that situation. The conclusion we would all jump to is that it was discarded by a drug user."
